Remitly updates mobile money transfer app

Remitly, an international online remittance service that enables residents of the U.S. to send money to the Philippines, has launched new versions of its mobile application for iOS and Android. New features include e-authentication with Apple’s Touch ID and real-time exchange rates on Android, according to a press release.

Remitly announced that it is now transferring more than $100 million annually to Philippines, equating to a near 400 percent year-over-year growth rate.

"We are transforming the international remittance industry with our leading mobile application," Matt Oppenheimer, co-founder and CEO, stated "Hard-working customers deserve more and we’re proud to give it to them."
