PS4 gamers now can use direct carrier billing via Boku to buy content

Boku today launched carrier-based billing on Sony's latest and most technologically advanced gaming system, the PS4, in Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, according to a press release. Subscribers in these countries can now top up their account wallet using the Boku Payments Platform.

Wallet top-ups using Boku can be made through the PlayStation Store on PS4 or account management via the Sony Entertainment Network website, according to a press release. Customers can choose “mobile” as the payment option, enter their mobile phone number and respond via SMS to confirm the wallet top-up. The wallet top-up charge will appear on their next mobile phone bill, or is debited against their pre-paid account.

Boku’s introduction to the PS4 gaming universe represents the latest gaming platform where subscribers have the ability to pay for content on Sony via Boku. Boku is also live via Sony Online Entertainment, the PS3 and the PS4 in Canada, Germany, Japan, the U.K. and the U.S.
