Professional services from ROAM to offer merchants guidance on mobile payments
One of the bright spots in mobile payment adoption continues to be the mobile POS space, where Boston-based ROAM has carved out a niche by providing white label solutions for other companies to market under their own brands. But as the mobile point of sale market has grown and more competitors have entered the fray, merchants are now faced with a dizzying array of solutions. To address the complexities, ROAM announced today that it is launching a Professional Services Group, which will focus on helping clients integrate mobile technology into their businesses.
"What our experience has shown is that companies from virtually every market segment see the value in utilizing new mobile payment technologies but are at times challenged by the complexities associated with implementing something new into their current and often fragmented legacy technology infrastructures," says Ken Paull, CEO of ROAM. "We felt that it was time to dedicate a team focused entirely on helping our clients take full advantage of their existing systems, while leveraging the power of platform in order to take their mobile commerce strategy to the next level."
ROAM said its Professional Services Group includes solutions architects, engineers, project managers and implementation specialists who support enterprise customer engagements from end to end.
ROAM isn't the first provider to see the need for a team of professionals dedicated to helping merchants navigate the increasingly complicated world of mobile payments. NCR recently announced the formation of a similar unit.
