President Obama's reelection campaign has begun deploying Square's mobile point-of-sale app and credit card reader to its staff to help with collecting campaign donations, according to Politico,

While not the first campaign to employ Square to process donations, Politico reports this is the first national campaign to use Square's mobile POS to make accepting contributions easier.

The Politico post said the rollout for both iPhone and Android devices will happen nationwide and will involve staff at all levels.
