Polish mPay adds mass transit payments to service
Polish mobile payment service mPay announced that users with Android Smartphone on the Play, Plus and Orange services will be able to buy tickets for public transport in Warsaw using the Transportoid application on their mobile devices. The company said it will be adding T-Mobile subscribers eventually as well as rolling out to Krakow and other cities.
According to mPay, the Transportoid app also provides timetables for transportation in 51 Polish cities and regions and even provides users with timetables in the widgets on the home screen, so departures at selected stations are available without starting the application and without Internet access.
The mPay mobile payment service provides users in Poland with the ability to register and pay for things like transportation and parking from their mobile phones using a prefunded account.
