PayToo intros bill payment from mobile wallet

PayToo has announced a new service for the unbanked customer — PayToo Bill Payments. The service lets consumers make payments to hundreds of U.S. billers directly from their PayToo mobile wallet, even if they are abroad or don't have a U.S. bank account.

A few weeks ago, PayToo introduced a direct deposit service to its mobile wallet platform, allowing users to avoid check-cashing fees. Now the customer can use those and other deposited funds to pay utility bills, mortgage or car payments, credit cards, cable bills and more.

PayToo customers can make  payments from their mobile wallet, saving them time and money, the company said. Users can take advantage of other PayToo services as well — adding credit to their accounts, making worldwide real-time money transfers at no charge, redeeming funds instantaneously at more than 1 million ATMs and PayToo locations, and making purchases online and at retail stores using a PayToo account or the company's "virtual credit card" and prepaid PayToo card.

"Our goal is to continue ... providing value to our users through innovative, low-cost and convenient financial services," said Michel Poignant, CEO of PayToo Corp. "I am pleased to introduce this new service into our portfolio and am excited about pursuing the launch of other services under the PayToo brand."

One such service is Cash Security Protection, set for a May launch. For a monthly fee, the service gives unbanked customer access to emergency funds.
