PayPal this week announced an app for the Pebble smartwatch, according to a company blog post.

The app enables users to check-in to pay, or pay with a payment code at retailers accepting PayPal as payment. User also can receive payment notifications through the app.

"With the addition of the PayPal app for Pebble, the PayPal app is now available across all available wearable platforms, including the latest Android Wear devices as well as Samsung’s Gear 2, Gear S and Gear Fit," Joel Yarbrough, senior director of partnerships and global solutions for PayPal, wrote in the blog post.
