PayPal and mFoundry announce new partnership

Following a spate of stories regarding PayPal this week, including its new pop-up store in New York City and its recent deal with NCR to provide person-to-person payments through ATMs, Dan Schatt, head of financial innovations for the company, posted a breakdown of some the recent bank-related news involving the company on the PayPal blog.

Along with information on the aforementioned NCR/PayPal deal, and of particular interest to mobile payments, Schatt said that PayPal has made a deal with mobile banking company mFoundry, a leading provider of mobile banking technology. The details are scarce at the moment, but Schatt said that PayPal will be working with mFoundry to bring "cutting-edge solutions to mobile customers all over the world."

In Schatt's post, mFoundry CEO and co-founder Drew Sievers said, “As a leading provider of mobile banking technology with clients ranging from large and small banks to channel partners, we firmly believe in delivering the best native app experience available for the most popular mobile platforms, and PayPal is the perfect partner to extend that promise.”

More details on the PayPal/mFoundry partnership as they become available.
