Payment processor BillingTree goes (auto)mobile with ZNAP

The Phoenix-based payment processor BillingTree has launched a suite of mobile marketing and payment products for the auto industry.

BillingTree's mobile payment and lifecycle management technology allows customers to view and pay their bills by scanning QR codes with their smartphones. Lifecycle communications features help auto lenders upsell, cross-sell and deliver promotions to online and mobile customers.

BillingTree's technology is supported by the company's partnership with Hong Kong-based mPayMe, which is supplying its ZNAP mobile payment and business automation platform.

"To grow revenues and remain competitive, auto lenders need to keep pace with consumer buying habits and extend their relationship beyond the point of sale," Marya Ulis, BillingTree's auto finance market general manager, said in a news release. "By offering the convenience of mobile payment and the added value of mobile customer lifecycle management, BillingTree is helping auto finance companies to transform an initial sale as the beginning of an ongoing conversation with customers about their needs."

"Auto finance is a perfect example of an industry where mobile technology offers significant value to businesses with the strategic foresight to recognize and seize these opportunities," Greg Gresh, mPayMe's North America CEO, added. "We are proud that BillingTree has selected ZNAP to expand its payment solutions to the mobile marketplace."
