PayAnywhere, a mobile POS provider, announced it's extending its product line. Its app and card reader will now work on a variety of BlackBerry smartphones, the company said.

“One in six U.S. smartphone users rely on BlackBerry, with the majority of them using their phones for business purposes,” said PayAnywhere's founder, president and CEO Marc Gardner.

"PayAnywhere has taken great care to ensure our app, payment service, online Merchant Portal and customer care address merchants’ payment needs so they can focus on growing their businesses.

The PayAnywhere app is available at BlackBerry App World to download. Once downloaded and installed, merchants need only follows instructions in the app to sign up for the payment service and to receive the free card reader accessory.

The fee for PayAnywhere is 2.69 percent per transaction with no monthly fee. The company said payments to merchants are among the fastest in the industry with funds typically deposited in merchant accounts within two business days.

Other features of PayAnywhere's mobile POS include

• Send receipts by email with transaction details and merchant's logo
• Adjustable settings for default tax and tip options
• In-app sales tracking and reporting

The app is available on BlackBerry models running OS 4.7 or later as well as iOS and Android devices.
