New association will promote tech-powered experience across consumer channels

The Interactive Customer Experience Association will explore ways that technologies can be combined to create new and unique consumer experiences.

Networld Media Group has launched the Interactive Customer Experience Association, an organization formed to promote and accelerate the convergence of customer experience technologies across all consumer channels, according to a news release from the company.

Technologies covered will include CRM, POS, digital display, self-service, e-commerce and m-commerce, mobile payment, and more. The organization will seek to help members explore and understand how these various technologies can be combined to create new and unique consumer experiences.

"The need for ICXA reflects a rising emphasis among brands to create superior customer experiences through multiple technologies," Networld Media Group CEO Tom Harper said in the release. "Our membership unites professionals from disciplines such as customer experience and service, loyalty, merchandising, marketing, sales, and retail operations."

Under the leadership of executive director Scott Slucher, ICXA will expand and develop membership across industry verticals such as banking and payments, hospitality, healthcare, entertainment, education and government.

An ICXA.org website to be launched soon will include a members-only education archive featuring videos, webinars and podcasts, as well as an industry blog and supplier directory.

The organization will host its first annual ICX Summit June 28–30 in Chicago, with keynote speakers to include Blaine Hurst, EVP of Panera Bread, and Paul Price, CEO of Creative Realities.
