Need to find an ATM? There's a chat bot for that
OpenWay, a provider of software for bankcard issuing and acquiring, payment switching, digital banking services and omnichannel payments, has rolled out WAY4 Messenger Banking.
According to a company press release, the white-label customer service solution communicates via a messaging app on a customer's smart device.
The bot provides information about bank’s services and allows the customer to manage cards and accounts, adjust security settings and make P2P payments. Customers can use the service to ask for the location of the nearest ATM, block a particular card, set card transaction limits and make other personal banking-related requests.
Financial institutions can use the bot to inform customers about transactions made with their card, service conditions, maintenance work and promotional offers.
WAY4 Messenger Banking can be set up for use with Facebook, Telegram, WeChat, Viber and Line messenger platforms. The solution can link with any core banking and card processing system on the back-end, according to OpenWay
Testing of the solution is currently underway with a digital bank customer in Asia, OpenWay said in the press release.
