Waltham, Mass.-based MoreMagic Solutions, a provider of mobile commerce and financial services solutions, announced the launch of its eTopUpOnline application for smartphones. The new application offers consumers the ability to add minutes of airtime to, or "top up," any prepaid mobile phone account. The application is available on all major global mobile platforms such as Blackberry, Android, iPhone and Symbian.

"This particular mobile application enables smartphone users to buy an airtime top-up from their handset," MoreMagic CEO and Chairman Pankaj Gulati said in the announcement.

"(B)uying a real-time electronic top-up has never been so simple, secure and convenient," Gulati said.

The new eTopUpOnline application allows consumers the ability to top up not only their own prepaid accounts, but also those of friends and relatives worldwide.

Mobile top-up is a valuable service in developing economies where consumers may have prepaid cell phones but little access to payment centers or financial institutions.
