Mobile wallet tech provider moves headquarters from Silicon Valley to Cambridge

Cortex MCP, provider of a next-generation technology platform for mobile wallets, today announced in a press release it has relocated company headquarters from California to Cambridge, Mass.

The company, now based in what has become a tech hotbed centered around the Kendall Square neighborhood in the shadow of MIT, said the region offers the talent and infrastructure necessary to fuel its growth and efforts to advance a new foundational payments platform designed to overcome the obstacles to broader mobile wallet development, according to a press release.

"This move to Cambridge will enable Cortex MCP to accelerate its plans to build out our secure product offerings and demonstrate that our platform solves the inherent limitations of failed attempts to support mobile wallets adoption," Shaunt Sarkissian, CEO of Cortex MCP, said in a statement. "The developments over the next few years will determine the future of mobile wallets, mobile payments and mobile loyalty for the next 30, and Cortex and Massachusetts will be ground zero."
