Mobile games developer and publisher Playwing and mobile payments company Fortumo have announced a partnership for direct carrier billing, according to a press release.

Users in more than 60 countries can now purchase games and in-app content from Playwing with Fortumo and charge the purchases to their phone bill.

"Playwing's goal is to make our entertaining games offer available to as many people as possible," Carlos Flores Vidaurre, head of acquisition and billing at Playwing, said in the release. "Carrier billing as a payment method strongly supports this objective as any mobile phone owner can now access our premium content. We chose Fortumo as a partner for mobile payments due to their lengthy experience in both the gaming industry as well as with emerging markets that we are focusing on."
