Mint launches Windows Phone 8 app

Account aggregation and personal financial management service Mint has launched a version of its app for Windows Phone 8-based smartphones and for Windows 8.1-based touchscreen desktop PCs and tablets. Mint is owned by Intuit, the vendor of Quicken and TurboTax.

Mint's app, which is already available for iOS- and Android-based devices, provides live, up-to-date information about users' various accounts as well as bill reminders and budgeting tools.

With links to 20,000 bank, credit card, loan and investment accounts, Mint provides users with a consolidated real-time view of their finances using real-time updates via Live Tiles.

Mint categorizes transactions to help users organize their finances and create customized budgets. It supplies budget graphs to help customers visualize their spending.

Mint allows users to enter transactions at the time of purchase so they can see available bank and credit balances, and provides alerts to warn users about low balances and upcoming bills.
