Microsoft will officially end support for Microsoft Wallet as of Feb. 28, according to a post on the app's website.

The app allowed consumers to make payments by loading credit or debit card information onto the app and tap their phones at a POS terminal that accepted contactless terminals.

Last year Microsoft announced plans to integrate its rebranded Microsoft Pay with Masterpass. That functionality allowed customers using the Edge browser to make secure online purchases at retailers that accepted Masterpass.
