MasterCard launches directory to help customers with digital payments

MasterCard has launched its Digital Vendor Directory, a compilation meant to provide more options for MasterCard customers seeking digital payments services and products, according to a press release.

The company said it developed the directory to help customers identify vendors that can help them quickly and easily tokenize and digitize card portfolios and deploy their own Masterpass-enabled digital wallets, using the service provider of their choice.

The directory lists both global and regional vendors and provides information about their digital offerings and geographical presence. Each vendor is assigned a status — standard, gold or platinum — that reflects that provider's readiness to integrate with Masterpass and the MasterCard Digital Enablement Service.

The directory currently includes 28 vendors; gold- and platinum-level vendors include AEVI; equensWorldline; Giesecke & Devrient; Netcetera; Payair Technologies (platinum level); Sparkling18; uPaid; and Ximedes.

"We have been a pioneer of digital commerce innovation for years and we are excited to be working with so many great partners to deliver new digital payment options to our issuers and cardholders around the world," Kiki Del Valle, MasterCard senior vice president of digital payments and labs, said in a statement. "Our Digital Vendor Directory will make it easier for issuers to learn about a wide range of digital offerings available to them, and is another way in which MasterCard is able to provide more choices for our customers and help bring digital payments for all cardholders."
