Lids Sports Group launches new mobile app focused on loyalty

The new Lids Access Pass app is the latest move by the omnichannel sports licensed retailer to drive greater customer loyalty, providing shopper rewards, deals and access to "once-in-a-lifetime" experiences.

The app, available in iOS and Android, lets members leverage points and rewards, engage with social channels and receive exclusive in-app offers, according to a press release. 

"The new loyalty program is another way for us to recognize and reward our most loyal fans," Jeff Pearson, SVP of marketing and e-commerce at Lids, said in a statement. "Through Access Pass, we also look forward to engaging with newly-devoted consumers who embody the qualities of today's headwear culture and transforming them into brand advocates, while simultaneously attracting the next generation of shoppers."

The app replaces the retailer's Lids Club program and existing members can join Access Pass immediately or once membership expires.
