Latest Apple rumor has company in talks with Visa, others
Expect Apple mobile wallet rumors to come fast and furious over the next six weeks as the iPhone 6 (and iWatch) approach on the horizon. The lastest rumor is from The Information, which reports Apple is discussuing a mobile payments partnership with Visa and other credit card compnies.
Apple is reportedly telling potential partners that payment credentials would be stored on the secure element of the phone without any involvement from the wireless operators, according to the report. This seems to suggest Apple will use its "secure enclave" that resides inside the A7 processor used to store fingerprints from the TouchID sensor Apple introduced in iPhones 5s.
It is not known whether Apple will use NFC technology in the new iPhone, according to The Information.
