Kiosk provider brings more payment options to US SMBs

PayPal and Bouncepad, a kiosk provider, have extended their mobile point-of-sale partnership in the U.K. to the U.S., according to a press release.

Bouncepad and PayPal partnered in August 2015 to bring the PayPal Here mPOS device to SMBs in the U.K. The same parameters of that deal are now being extended to the U.S., according to the announcement.

Through PayPal Here, PayPal enables businesses to accept card payments in person, including magnetic stripe, EMV chip cards, as well as contactless mobile payments such as Android Pay and Apple Pay.

"Our partnership with PayPal comes at a really important time for retailers and merchants," said Tobi Schneidler, CEO of Bouncepad. "While many businesses are still navigating the EMV liability shift, consumers expect to pay how they want, wherever they want. With PayPal Here, businesses now have the flexibility of a tablet-based POS system to run their operations and process payments anywhere."
