Jack Henry & Associates CTO Forbis to retire

Jack Henry & Associates Inc., a provider of technology and payment processing services tor the banking industry, announced that Mark Forbis will retire as executive vice president and chief technology officer as of Nov. 15. 

Forbis, who began his career in 1982 with Systemiatics, which later became FIS, was originally named vice president and CTO at Jack Henry in 2006 and was promoted to executive vice president in July 2018. 

"Mark's commitment to our company's progress has been palpable at Jack Henry for decades," David Foss, president and CEO of Jack Henry, said in a company release. "While I'm excited for this new chapter of his life, his dedication and expertise will be missed."

Foss said the company was grateful for "significant contributions" to the company and the industry and noted that Forbis leaves behind strong teams that position the company for future success. 

Ted Bilke, vice president of Jack Henry and president of Symitar, will become the new CTO of Jack Henry and Greg Adelson, vice president of Jack Henry and general manager of JHA Payment Solutions, will be named to a newly created position of chief operating officer.
