J. Crew takes to airwaves to promote addition of MasterCard mobile wallet

Fashion retailer J. Crew and MasterCard have joined forces for a marketing campaign to promote the introduction of the MasterPass digital payments platform to the retailer's online checkout. MasterPass is a digital wallet that lets shoppers pay with any payment card or enabled device, such as a mobile phone or tablet.

The campaign includes a national TV ad, a first for the retailer. The 30-second spot focuses on J. Crew's holiday collection and will air on network and cable TV through Dec. 8, as well as on YouTube and Hulu.

"The world of online shopping is changing rapidly," said Jenna Lyons, president and executive creative director, J.Crew, in a news release. "Customers want ease and simplicity."
