Israel is getting a mobile bill payment app. According to a post on Globes Online, Zappix Ltd. has launched a mobile payment application that lets users pay for everything from parking tickets to water bills to gas bills. Twenty municipalities also allow Zappix users to pay their local property taxes via the app.

"We've taken the next step to turn Zappix into the ultimate access point for receiving service,"Saadia Ozeri, Zappix founder and CEO, said in the story.

The company has raised $1 million in private equity and is looking to raise more.

"Our business model is based on companies that want to provide better service for customers who have to pay bills. The app streamlines customer service and saves the company money," Ozeri said.
