Grab investing $150M to create 'super app'
Grab Holdings Inc. plans to spend about $150 million on artificial intelligence and to hire additional engineers to help create a regional "super app" that will boost its food delivery, payments and digital content businesses, according to Bloomberg.
Grab co-founder Tan Hooi Ling told Bloomberg TV that the company is working with Microsoft Corp. to boost its natural language processing and trying to localize its business to tailor to various market demands, as it competes with rival Gojek to become the biggest regional on-demand platform.
