GlobalConnect selects Boku as mobile billing partner

GlobalCollect, a provider of online payment services in the e-commerce market, announced today that it has selected Boku as its global mobile payments partner. The partnership integrates Boku's payments platform into GlobalCollect's international payment network, so merchants can take mobile payments at checkout.

"At GlobalCollect, we provide our merchants with the best-fitting online payment methods available for their business," said John Snoek, Global Collect VP  of marketing. "Boku's mobile payment platform is trusted and available in more countries than any other mobile payment option. Next to that, Boku brings unrivalled experience on the mobile payment process to the table."

Snoek said Boku was clearly the best option for GlobalCollect's merchants, who can now increase checkout conversion, reduce cost and accelerate time to market for mobile payments.

With Boku's technology, GlobalCollect merchants can offer customers the option to buy digital goods and put the charges on their monthly mobile bill. The Boku mobile payment network is offered in 67 countries by more than 260 mobile network operators. According to Boku, this opens up a potential customer base of up to 4 billion consumers to GlobalCollect's merchants.

"Our merchant partners typically see significant, immediate increases in their market reach and checkout conversion, and we expect the same for GlobalCollect merchants," said James Patmore, SVP and managing director at Boku.
