FreedomPay brings new pay-at-the-table device to Firebirds

The company's new offering is PCI-validated with point-to-point encryption and supports EMV and contactless payments.

FreedomPay, which provides secure payment technology for entertainment, hospitality and retail sectors, announced the launch of its Pay-At-Table product with PCI validated point-to-point encryption, the industry's highest security standard, as well as support for EMV and NFC-based mobile wallet payments.

Available on Ingenico Group's iWL 258 wireless smart terminal and powered by FreedomPay's payment gateway, Pay-At-Table is fully integrated with the point of sale at the merchant's location. FreedomPay this year will roll out Pay-At-Table with Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, according to a press release.

"Offering our guests a secure and flexible solution to pay at the table with their chip card or mobile wallet is critically important," said John Fowley, vice president of information technology of Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. "A PCI-validated P2PE solution for Pay-At-Table, in addition to our other secure payment options, gives us the confidence that our guests’ payment data is truly secure."
