Fiserv Inc. said it is helping companies automate customer bill payment through mobile wallets through its Mobile Bill Presentment technology, according to a company release. 

The Mobile Bill Presentment technology allows companies to send customer bills to an existing mobile wallet and uses the company's logo and colors. Messages are also sent to customers automatically to remind them to pay bills on time. 

"People are using their mobile wallets to store and access boarding passes, concert tickets, store discounts and loyalty rewards, in addition to using them to pay at major retailers," Rob Houser, senior vice president, product management and strategy and biller solutions at Fiserv, said in the release. "With continued growth in all things digital, people expect information to be one tap away, and this includes access to their bills."

Customers would not need to download any additional apps to use the bill payment service.
