FIME expands in US to provide contactless testing services

The company plans to add capacity for end-to-end consulting and certification testing for EMV-ready mobile and contactless solutions.

As the EMV migration moves forward in the U.S., payments consultancy FIME has announced that it will expand its U.S. operations in San Jose, California, to provide end-to-end consulting and certification testing services for mobile and contactless payment solutions.

The FIME office is ISO 17025-compliant, and has achieved EMVCo Level 1 accreditation to test that contactless EMV chip cards and mobile payment devices meet EMVCo requirements, according to a company press release.

FIME also is accredited by Discover and MasterCard to support card and device manufacturers in achieving compliance with their respective contactless requirements.

"FIME's experience implementing contactless card and mobile payment products around the world provides us with a unique perspective on product development and implementation for the U.S. market," FIME America Director Xavier Giandominici said in the release. "Our experience with these processes helps us provide our customers with end-to-end support, which is a real advantage for our customers who are trying to get a solution to market as quickly as possible."
