Fime accredited by JCB for EMV migration, certification support

Fime has become the first testing provider accredited by JCB to support issuing banks with their JCB EMV migration and certification projects.

A company press release said that card issuers can now work with Fime to confirm that the bank's contact, contactless and mobile J/Speedy v3.0 products are personalized in accordance with specifications that support more than 86 million JCB cards in 19 countries.

PersevalPro, the Fime personalization validation test tool, has also received JCB qualification. Use of this tool, which was co-developed with Barnes International for use in precertification testing, can help issuers, card manufacturers and personalization bureaus minimize the risk of failure at the final certification stage, the company said.

"Issuing banks need the right support to manage their EMV migration projects and bring mobile payment solutions to market," said Arnaud Peninon, director of Fime Asia. "Only accredited services and qualified tools can ensure global interoperability and deliver the smooth certification that reduces banks' product development costs and time to market."
