ExxonMobil has enabled Samsung Pay as a payment method in its Speedpass-plus app, according to a press release.

To make a Speedpass-plus purchase with Samsung Pay, consumers link their Samsung Pay account to their Speedpass-plus app and select Samsung Pay as the desired payment method.

From the app, they can purchase fuel across more than 9,600 Exxon and Mobil retail stations that are Speedpass-plus enabled.

"Increasing the mobile payment options allows us to provide our consumers with a faster, more convenient experience at the pump," Rob Wollard, Americas retail fuels marketing manager for ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Co., said in a statement. "We are proud to be the first major fuel retailer to offer Samsung Pay at the pump."
