Dunkin' teams with Shell on loyalty savings
Ducking in for a doughnut or coffee at Dunkin' may help customers save money when gassing up at Shell, thanks to a partnership between the Shell Oil Company and Dunkin,' a news release said. In the expansion of Shell's Fuel Rewards program, all of the company's "Gold Status" members, who are also members of Dunkin's DD Perks Rewards, can save a dime per gallon with every five drinks purchased at Dunkin'.
The year-long Sip Dunkin', Save at Shell promotion works for new or existing members to both rewards programs who link the two (also garnering them a one-time 25-cent-a-gallon deduction through April 30), then get the reward automatically each time they rack up purhases of five Dunkin' drinks.
Linked DD Perks and Fuel Rewards members may repeatedly purchase five beverages and save 10 cents per gallon with their Gold Status discount as many times as they like through Dec. 31, 2020. Members may also make the five beverage purchases individually or in fewer than five transactions.
"Shell is thrilled to expand our partnership with Dunkin' beyond a successful Northeast pilot to a national offering, allowing more consumers the ability to both enjoy their favorite Dunkin' beverages and save when filling up their vehicle," Todd Gulbransen, North America CRM and loyalty manager for Shell Oil Products U.S., said in the press release.
Shell has more than 13,000 U.S. locations, while Dunkin' has more than 13,000 restaurants worldwide.
"Since launching six years ago, DD Perks has become one of the fastest-growing loyalty programs in our industry for quickly and conveniently delivering rich rewards and experiences for our members," said Stephanie Meltzer-Paul, Dunkin' vice president, digital and loyalty marketing.
