CSI targets corporate travel with its virtual credit card

CSI Enterprises Inc. is a provider of payment solutions for enterprises and businesses. Its products are aimed at making it easier for companies to pay for things — think corporate payment cards and accounts payable solutions.

Businesses paying their bills might not be in the mobile payment spotlight, but not long ago CSI began offering its globalVCard mobile payment solution. It's a virtual payment card that lets users create a single- or multi-use account from their tablets or smartphones.

Instead of carrying a credit card that can be lost, stolen or misused by employees, the globalVCard generates a credit card number on a mobile device that can be tailored to a specific purpose or dollar amount.

Now CSI has announced that it will target the business travel industry with its virtual card, providing monitoring tools that companies can use to control travel spending and enforce policies, as well as secure the cards they distribute to employees.

"CSI globalVCard for Travel is a perfect fit for any company that is looking to control costs, while also generating revenue through substantial cash rewards on supplier payments," said Jim Marcelak, CSI’s vice president and senior national sales executive. "We’ve already seen tremendous enthusiasm from our clients using globalVCard for their business travel needs, and the response from the travel agency industry has been overwhelming."

Marcelak said CSI's travel push is in response to an upswing in corporate travel, as well as companies looking to create some positive return from overhead.
