CreditCall debuts white-label chip-and-PIN mobile POS solution
Another mobile point-of-sale option has launched with chip-and-PIN acceptance capabilities. CreditCall, a U.K. payment gateway, announced that CardEase Mobile, its new mobile POS application, is available worldwide. The company said it has been working with Visa and a number of global acquirers and mobile network operators to bring CardEase Mobile to the market as a white-label and third-party solution.
"There has been a barrage of mobile payment solutions hitting the market recently that all have a major flaw; they aren’t able to accept chip and PIN, which is essential in the U.K." said Sian Bosley, commercial director at CreditCall. "CreditCall has been working on CardEase Mobile, navigating the complexities of EMV and U.K. payment regulations to ensure that it has all the certification needed to fulfill all card scheme requirements and provide the most secure and reliable mobile solution possible."
CreditCall claims that CardEase Mobile is the first payment acceptance solution for mobile devices that can process both chip-and-PIN and magnetic stripe card payments in the U.K. The solution is also EMV certified, fully encrypted and accepts all major U.K. credit and debit cards.
The CardEase Mobile solution requires a merchant account, which is available through a third party partner. The solution uses a Bluetooth-enabled PIN pad paired with a mobile device.
