CorFire and INSIDE Secure offer NFC interoperability to boost spread of m-payments

Mobile payment solutions provider CorFire announced a new agreement with INSIDE Secure, a provider of secure transaction and digital identity services. The companies will now offer interoperability between several of INSIDE Secure’s NFC solutions, including its MicroRead and SecuRead, and CorFire’s trusted service manager (TSM) solution, CorTSM.

"Seamless interoperability between the TSM and the NFC secure element is paramount to healthy NFC service deployments," CorFire's CTO Dr. Jun Hong said in the press release.

Hong said his company is pleased to join forces with INSIDE Secure on validating the interoperability of CorFire's solutions to help speed up the rollout of NFC payment applications.

Didier Serra, INSIDE Secure's EVP and GM for the U.S., explained the importance of the announcement.

"By validating INSIDE Secure’s NFC solutions with CorFire’s TSM solution, our customers can have confidence that their products built on our solutions will work as advertised, enabling wallet and other payment applications to be personalized on the mobile device," Serra said.

INSIDE is headquartered in Aix-en-Provence, France. CorFire is a subsidiary of SK C&C USA and is based in Atlanta, Ga.
