Co-branded mobile credit card readers hit the market from iTransact

Salt Lake City-based iTransact recently introduced co-branded mobile credit card readers for corporate clients intended to make mobile payment transactions effortless, convenient and secure, the company announced. The readers are available for any device that is compatible with the iOS or Android operating systems.

Matt Sumsion, iTransact CMO, said that, while a multitude of firms may provide mobile processing of credit cards, "iTransact is unique in that we offer co-branded card readers."

"Our partnerships with banks, credit unions, accounting firms and network marketing companies mean we can deliver solutions for their clients that include the co-branded card readers," he said. "Some of the companies we have joined forces with include America First Credit Union and Market America."

The setup for mobile transactions via iTransact involves simply downloading the version of the iTransact Mobile app compatible with their device once a business establishes a merchant account through a credit card processing provider. Then the card reader is just plugged into the device's audio jack and is basically ready to start accepting mobile payments, the company said.

A business is able to sell products or services, handle refunds, and pre-authorize transactions instantly from any location. Receipts can be emailed right from the mobile device.
