Centili strives to make in-app purchases easier with new offering

Web widget has a new identification feature to streamline future payments on a merchant's website or app.

Direct carrier biller Centili today announced two new offerings intended to simplify the integration of mobile payments for merchants and reduce obstacles in the consumer checkout flow.

Centili's new web widget has a new identification feature. Once a service or a product has been paid for, users can make subsequent purchases without being required to provide their mobile phone number again. All later transactions are registered automatically, which makes the process faster and easier for buyers, decreases the number of interrupted transactions, and increases conversion rates, the company said in a press release.

The new identification mechanism brings with it another improvement — it facilitates a cross-platform purchases. By using the same account, users can pay for goods they discover on their desktop computer, mobile phone, tablet or laptop without having to leave their payment details over and over again fore every purchase, according to the announcement.

Centili's new Android SDK library also has been significantly reduced to a size below 50kb, resulting in less space consumption for a merchant's app.
