Caribbean regional airline taps CellPoint for mobile payment

Travel industry digital commerce provider CellPoint Mobile has signed a multi-year agreement with Haiti-based Sunrise Airways to provide web and mobile-based payment solutions for the regional carrier, according to a news release. 

CellPoint Mobile will integrate its Velocity payment platform with Sunrise Airways' existing passenger service system to manage all digital payment transactions and speed the rollout of new payment methods in all Sunrise markets.

The deployment allows Sunrise Airways to streamline purchases across direct online and mobile digital channels. The new payment solution is expected to boost conversions and maximize revenue per digital customer and possibly facilitate ancillaries cross-selling. 

"CellPoint Mobile's digital payment platform gives us a future-proof solution that allows our airline to better cater to passenger demands as we expand our regional network and begin offering more value-added services," Sunrise Airways President Philippe Bayard said in the release.

For Sunrise Airways, CellPoint Mobile will also deliver highly intuitive hosted payment pages optimized for both web and mobile web, ensuring a frictionless experience in all digital channels.

CellPoint Mobile's payment-side solution, Velocity, is a full payment platform that integrates seamlessly with travel merchants' existing systems. Its intelligent routing module can also optimize the route of each payment transaction to maximize acceptance rates and minimize the cost of cross-border transactions.
