Brits up mobile payment spending by 25 percent
Mobile-based spending in the U.K. has increased by 25 percent between January and June, according to a story at Mobile Entertainment, which cited data provided by daily deal aggregator Bownty.
The daily volume of mobile transactions now reaches £500,000, or just over $750,000.
The story quotes Bownty SEO Steffen Frouland:
This rapid growth shows more and more consumers are willing to spend money through their mobile devices, with shopping on the move becoming a reality. With the number of U.K. smartphone users set to continue to rise, we expect mobile transactions to overtake desktop spending before the end of the year.
