Bouncepad intros Mobi mobile point of sale device

Bouncepad has introduced Bouncepad Mobi, a device that transforms an iPad into a mobile point of sale in seconds, according to a press release.

The unit is designed for retail and hospitality settings. The iPad case keeps the card reader securely attached with the patent-pending Bouncepad MagTwist connector.

With a quick twist of the magnetic fixing point, the card reader can be detached from the back of the iPad case to take payment.

To increase uptime and reduce wear associated with fast-paced environments, the Bouncepad Mobi charges through contact points rather than cables. The charging dock keeps both iPad and card reader powered up.

The portable design means that Mobi can assist at every customer touch point — taking orders, tackling queues, sharing content and accepting payment. A removable nylon-weave strap makes transportation of the device simple and secure.

Mobi and Magtwist are compatible with card readers that include Square, PayPal Here, and SumUp, and with tablets that include iPad Pro 9.7", iPad 5 (2017), iPad 6 (2018), and iPad Air 2.
