Blockchain payments provider BitPay is now offering merchants the option of accepting Circle Centre and Gemini Dollar cryptocurrency coins in addition to Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

The USDC and GUSD coins, known as "stable coins," according to a press release, provides BitPay customers new cryptocurrency alternatives to holding Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

Cryptocurrencies do not rely on traditional bank wires. BitPay calculates prices displayed on BitPay invoices in 150 currencies and can settle in all 190 supported countries.

According to the release, BitPay allows a merchant to take settlement proceeds in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, USDC, GUSD or a bank transfer.
