Bitcoin Depot expands reach to 500 ATMs

Bitcoin Depot, a multi-currency cryptocurrency ATM network, announced an expansion to 500 ATMs worldwide, making it the largest blockchain ATM network across the globe.

Bitcoin ATMs convert fiat currency into digital cash and the company said it has deployed more than 200 machines in the past quarter and is on track to have 1,000 machines in service by the end of 2020. The devices allow consumers to buy various denominations of cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum instantly.

“The expansion of Bitcoin ATMs increases acceptance and use of bitcoin for financial transactions and makes everyday transactions easier for everyone,” Brandon Mintz, CEO of Bitcoin Depot, said in a company release. “With more than 500 ATMs across 30 states, and more than 100 of those right here in our own backyard, we are significantly outpacing others in the industry.”
