Bitcoin ATM operator Coinsource blows past 200 locations

Bitcoin ATM operator Coinsource has added 17 new machines in Florida, lifting the company past the 200-machine mark and expanding the company's presence in the state from its current footprint of five machines in Jacksonville.

A company press release said that the new machines are located in the cities of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and Hialeah.

Coinsource said that it's the first bitcoin ATM operator to install more than 200 machines. The company currently has machines in 18 states, and serves a total population of 164 million residents with bitcoin purchases and sales. Customers can buy up to $5,000 in bitcoin per transaction, the release said.

Coinsource CEO Sheffield Clark and CMO Bobby Sharp recently won the Ernst and Young 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year Southwest Award, the release said.

"We are not only proud of the company’s growth, but the growth of the cryptocurrency market as a whole," Clark said in the release. "We are pleased to meet the demand of the growing market with increased accessibility, and plan to continue expanding our reach even further."
