BigCommerce launches global integration with Adyen
BigCommerce, an Austin, Texas-based e-commerce platform, has rolled out integration with global payments platform Adyen, that will give 60,000 merchants on its platform access to a range of local and alternative payment options across 145 different currencies.
Amsterdam-based Adyen offers a range of payments options across the globe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, as well as local options, including WeChatPay in China, iDeal in Benelux, Giropay in Germany and ACH Direct Debit in the U.S., according to a press release.
"Consumers are more likely to complete the checkout if they can pay using their preferred payment method with home currency, and merchants need access to tools that can provide that localized experience to international shoppers," Jim Herbert, EMEA general manager for BigCommerce, said in the release. "BigCommerce is committed to working with partners that can meet the needs of our global merchant base, and as one of the most well respected and rapidly growing payments platforms worldwide, Adyen safely opens up these new capabilities for our customers."
