Backbase, an omnichannel digital-banking platform, announced a strategic partnership with Finxact, to help banks and credit unions looking to transform their business to digital platforms. 

The partnership combines the online and mobile banking applications from Backbase with the Finxact cloud-based core banking platform.

"This partnership provides banks and credit unions the opportunity to break free and reclaim control of their digital destiny," Jouk Pleiter, CEO of Backbase, said in a company release. "The combination enables the rapid launch of digital-first greenfield bank operations by established banks and credit unions, or by new entrants in the fast-growing U.S. fintech space."
