Australia-based mobile loyalty platform PokitPal has announced a partnership with Visa to roll out a scheme that will offer instant rewards, including cashback, to all Visa cardholders across the country, according to a press release.

Starting in October, PokitPal will invite consumers to link their Visa debit or credit cards to the PokitPal app to receive discounts and giveaways from some of Australia's most popular retailers and entertainment venues.  

Visa and PokitPal's will notify shoppers about rewards through their mobile device, instantly verifying transactions, and issuing rewards when a purchase is made, according to the press release.

"Traditionally, loyalty programs have been limited to the large retailers because many organizations lack the budget and resources necessary for effective implementation," PokitPal CEO Gary Cobain said in the press release. "The PokitPal platform allows businesses of all sizes to entice new customers and encourage repeat business using the latest mobile marketing tools."
