Point-of-sale solutions provider Appetize has selected FreedomPay Commerce Platform to enable EMV and PCI validated point-to-point encryption to its tablet devices. FreedomPay is designed to provide security validation for a variety of industries, according to a company press release.

Appetize has 11,000 business units across the U.S. in sports, entertainment, parking, leisure and education markets. With this integration with FreedomPay, it is one of the first tablet POS to offer PCI P2PE, according to the release.

FreedomPay’s solution is available now on Appetize's Android platform; it will soon integrate the solution with iOS as well.
