Aislebuyer acquired by Intuit?

(UPDATED) BostInno.com is reporting that Aislebuyer has been acquired by Intuit Inc. for somewhere in the range of $80-100 million. No additional details were forthcoming from Aislebuyer, but the company's CEO Andrew Paradise told BostInno more information would be coming out in the next few days.

Aislebuyer is a provider of a mobile commerce platform for retailers and restaurants. The platform blurs the line between mobile commerce and traditional brick-and-mortar retail with tools that let merchants harness mobile devices to assist customers, and lets customers use mobile devices to get offers or skip lines. (Our coverage of Aislebuyer is here.)

If the information is accurate it would be a good fit for Intuit. Intuit is best known for its Quickbooks and TurboTax accounting software for small businesses and has a spate of other small business tools that Aislebuyer would complement like its GoPayment mobile POS. (A recent story on mobile tools Intuit just announced is here.)

We've reached out to Aislebuyer and will provide more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Both companies have confirmed the acquisition.
