2Checkout said that the Dutch National Bank granted the company a PSD2 monetization license, which will allow it to provide enhanced security to customers within the European Economic Area. 

The Atlanta-based digital commerce platform provides payment, subscription management and other services for thousands of merchants across the globe. 

"This license is a continuation of 2Checkout's commitment to providing our merchants and their customers with safe, secure and convenient cross-border and domestic payment options as an integral part of our e-commerce monetization platform," Alex Hart, chief executive officer at 2Checkout, said in a company release.
