1Pay expands payments coverage through partnership with Fortumo

Payments service provider 1Pay and mobile payments company Fortumo today announced a partnership to bring direct carrier billing services to selected southeast Asia companies. Merchants using 1Pay now can collect payments in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia by charging payments to users' phone bills, according to a press release.

1Pay is an open platform for e-payments, working as an intermediary payment gateway. The company said in the announcement that it mainly focuses on optimizing payment effectiveness with fast speed, high stability, a smart analysis system, and multidimensional reporting, supporting all integration methods and automating the whole process of integration.

"1Pay is now expanding its market to southeast Asia with the first move to open offices in Indonesia," Luyen Ngoc Huy, CEO of 1Pay, said in a statement. "We certainly look for compatible partners [to] help us to set up and run [the] business in the shortest time. We chose Fortumo because they have a very flexible system that allows 1Pay to connect and operate quickly."
